Telling stories and stories, in general, have always been a passion of mine. I fell in love with photos as a child when I discovered old photo albums in a cupboard at my grandmother’s home. Anytime I visited (which was often), my grandmother would sit and tell me stories about the people in them. Two of my favorite things as a middle schooler were a Polaroid camera and a Diary. I remember having this pink diary with a lock and key that smelled like cotton candy I got for my birthday one year. I couldn’t lock it by the end of that year because I’d filled the pages with my stories and Polaroid snapshots.
I stumbled into photography when I became a blogger way back in 2006 and needed photos to help tell my story.
Blogging progressed into freelance writing and copyediting, which led me to manage social media. Product photography naturally extended out of that.
At my core – I’m multi-passionate and a true visionary. However, the one thing that has stood the test of time is my deep love for telling stories. Whenever a pen or a camera is in my hand, I feel at home.

You are photogenic, have a “good” side, and photoshoots are fun. So, before your photoshoot, we’ll chat, plan everything out (down to the playlist if you want one), and discuss any questions you might have, so you’ll be 100% comfortable in front of the camera!
If I need help on a shoot, my husband Dennis is my guy. Dennis loves the technical aspects of photography and the science behind capturing that “perfect shot.” He helps put clients at ease because he cracks the goofiest Dad Jokes. He also ensures I’ve got all the gear I’ll need and that all of the batteries are charged.
FAQ
WHAT KIND OF PHOTOGRAPHER ARE YOU? My photography style is natural, authentic, romantic, and sentimental. I mix traditional, documentary, and lifestyle photography which translates to my work falling between conventional portraiture (with a traditionally posed subject) to where the subject is photographed as they move naturally.
Olea + Co will provide a generous gallery of images to treasure for generations. These photographs will be an investment in your family history. Photos from your session often tell a story by seizing a moment in time. The goal is to capture who you truly are in a photograph. I’m not chasing a perfect shot with everyone looking at the camera and smiling. Though I’m sure I will get photos of everyone looking and smiling, it shouldn’t feel forced or stiff.
WHERE WILL MY SESSION BE HELD? I am a natural light photographer who shoots on location. We’ll work together to decide on a site. Newborn sessions take place at your home.
WHEN DO NEWBORN SESSIONS OCCUR? I prefer to do newborn sessions within the first month of life—my personal preference is around seven to 10 days.

WILL I GET MY DIGITAL PHOTOS AFTER THE SHOOT? Photographs grow in value over time and become treasures. So I understand the importance of archiving and saving digital images. Olea + Co offers one simple, all-inclusive collection where you receive all the high-resolution digital files delivered via direct download, including a print release. A minimum of 50 digital files will be available to you ( usually more) in both color and black and white. You will also have the option to buy additional prints and boutique products.
WHEN, HOW, AND WHERE CAN I ADDITIONAL PHOTOS AND PRODUCTS? Within four weeks of your shoot, you will receive a link to a private online gallery.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHICH IMAGES IN MY GALLERY FROM OUR SHOOT? I inspect each image with care and hand-select the best pictures. I’m looking for photos that best represent my art and you as a distinct individual. I guarantee a minimum of 50 images, but more than that typically are included in your online collection.
HOW FAR OUT ARE YOU BOOKED? We are currently booking new clients.
DO YOU OFFER MINI-SESSIONS? We call them Petit Sessions. We offer them when we need to grow our portfolio or try out new things.
HOW MUCH DOES ALL OF THIS COST? Our pricing is simple and all-inclusive. You pay one price for ALL of the digital files. A 50% deposit is due when booking to secure your session date.
